The Fife and Drums of Saint-Tropez were created there 24 years ago (1990).
The musicians who accompanied the Bravades of Saint Tropez founded this association to play at tropéziennes traditional festivals.
The Fife and Drums of Saint-Tropez designed their costumes and composed original songs.
Fifes, are created from flutes small cane from Provence and are made by the musicians themselves in the traditional way.
The drums are patterned from the Napoleonic-type strikes. The bass drum supplies the rhythm.
The Fife and Drum enliven all kinds of festivals, ceremonies, celebrations at local Provence and beyond.
The Fife Festival is held each year in a different region from all over Europe. The Fife and Drums of Saint-Tropez has
hosted the Fife Festival three times 1991, 2000 and 2011. In 2011, they were the first festival to have a corps from
the United States (The Towpath Volunteers Fife and Drum Corps of Macedon, NY).
